Importance of Food:
Food is essential for our survival and well being. It provides us with the necessary nutrients, vitamins, and minerals to keep our bodies healthy and functioning property. A healthy and balanced diet is crucial for maintaining good health and preventing chronic diseases. However food is not just important for our physical health but also for our social and emotional well-being.
Learning about Food:
The food walk module provide an opportunity for the students to learn about the importance of food and the different practices involved in preparing it. The students learned about the importance of choosing healthy and nutrients ingredients and the different cooking methods that can be enhance the flavor and nutritional value of food.
Kadamputtu :
These are steamed rice balls which resemble steamed rice dumplings. Prepared from rice, this dish is a local favourite and is best served with pandi curry.
Koli curry:
It is a spicy flavour some curry, prepared with chicken, cumin, red chilli powder, cloves and cinnamon and is best paired with akki roti.
There are variety foods .............
Activity:
We went to the famous hotel in Coorg, We ordered akki roti and koli curry. After having our food, we interacted with the localites about the various food grains of
Kodagu.
Conclusion:
The food walk module was an excellent opportunity for the students to learn about importance of food .It also helped promoting social and emotional well-being and cultural diversity. Especially we enjoyed and learnt something.
